Spécialement ce 28 novembre 1974 quand John Lennon monta sur scène avec lui pour interpréter trois titres, dont "Whatever Gets You Through The Night", qui fut numéro 1 des ventes. Pour l'histoire, John Lennon n'était pas remonté sur scène depuis la séparation des Beatles en 1970... il était pétrifié. Et le public lui offrira une ovation de plus de 10 minutes...
Lors de sa tournée américaine solo piano en 1999, il profitera pour intégrer cette magnifique chanson. Voici une de ses plus belles interprétations.

"Empty Garden" is a moving tribute to the late fabulous John Lennon, and was on the "Jump Up" album, issued in 1982.
As Elton says it at the beginning of this video, he only performed that song in this building in which he has so great memories. Especially the night of November 28th 1974, when John Lennon came on stage to sing with him three songs, including "Whatever Gets You Through The Night", a song that got to Number 1 on the charts. John Lennon hasn't got on stage since the Beatles split in 1970, and he was petrified !
During his solo piano US Tour in 1999, he will integrate this beautiful song. Here is one of his most beautiful renditions.
